The best way to get the most from your ICSA membership is to get involved in the efforts of an ICSA Committee. As a Committee member you will work closely with other ICSA members to enhance the value proposition of membership and advance the Mission of the ICSA. There are several excellent opportunities to become part of the ICSA leadership and to positively impact the entire organization. MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICES – The Membership Development and Services Committee is responsible to focus on growing ICSA membership. The Committee will explore and recommend programs for both membership retention and recruitment. Additionally, the Committee will recommend programs that enhance the value of membership in alignment with the Mission and Strategic Plan of the ICSA. This Committee will work with the Public Relations and Communications Committee to create appropriate marketing and communications to ICSA members and perspective members. ICSA Director Bradly Sax is the Chair of this Committee.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – The Education & Professional Development Committee is responsible to oversee the ICSA’s education and professional development offerings. At the core of this work is building and maintaining the ICSA Certification programs. To achieve this goal, the Committee will identify potential strategic partners who develop programming of the highest quality and consistent with the ICSA brand. This Committee will work with the Conference Committee to insure that Conference programming is consistent and perhaps even integrated with the overall ICSA goals for education and professional development. ICSA Vice-President, Don Yager is the Chair of this Committee. Here is Don talking about the opportunities that are ahead of those participating in this committee.
MARKET RESEARCH – The Market Research Committee is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the customer service profession to determine pertinent research topics and issues. The Committee will work to gather and disseminate benchmark studies of statistical data relevant to these topics and issues and work with the Public Relations Committee to coordinate the marketing of ICSA market research reports to the membership and general public. ICSA Director, Ted Nardin is the Chair of this Committee.
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS – The Public Relations and Communications Committee has the mission-centric task of developing a favorable image for the Association. This Committee is responsible to oversee official ICSA press releases. Additionally, the Committee will work closely with several other ICSA Committees in efforts to provide necessary communications to both members and perspective members. The Committee will work to promote interest in the Association, and make known the objectives and accomplishments of the Association by publishing both periodic and special reports of the Association activities and subjects of interest to International Customer Service Association members. ICSA Board Member, Luther Tucker is leading this important committee and here is his personal invitation for members to join him in his efforts!
CONFERENCE – In support of the ICSA’s Mission to provide education and professional development to customer service professionals, the Conference Committee is responsible to plan and execute the Annual ICSA Conference. The primary focus of the Annual Conference is education and development. The Committee will be responsible for all aspects of planning including, but not limited to: site selection and contract negotiation; creating a conference budget; building the educational program and securing session facilitators; securing sponsors and exhibitors that will enhance the attendee experience; securing Keynote speakers; securing the necessary A/V services; coordinating conference marketing and promotion; developing conference evaluation tools. This Committee will work closely with the Public Relations and Communication Committee in promoting the annual event. ICSA Treasurer, Deana Leda and ICSA Secretary, Donna Pokora are the Co-Chairs for this Committee.
RECOGNITION – The primary focus of the Recognition Committee is to build programming in support of the ICSA’s Mission to provide recognition to customer service professionals and the organizations they represent. At the heart of this Committee’s efforts is the annual National Customer Service Week. This Committee will be responsible to establish the annual theme each year and will work with the Public Relations and Communications Committee to create a communication strategy that enhances the ICSA’s position as the founder of National Customer Service Week. This Committee will be responsible to recommend additional recognition programs including the possibility of annual awards designed to recognize the best within the customer service industry. ICSA Director, George Larribas is the Chair of this Committee.
